Jordan Brand is bringing the Air Jordan 9 Boot back for Holiday 2026, with a new “Anthracite” colorway now surfacing ahead of its expected release.
At first glance, the pair keeps things almost entirely dark, pairing an Anthracite-colored upper with rough suede wrapping the mudguard, collar, and heel. Light-colored lace hardware, tongue branding, Jumpman logos, and embroidered “23” branding break up the otherwise tonal look.

The biggest detail only really shows itself under direct light. Large portions of the upper feature a reflective finish, transforming from a muted charcoal appearance into an iridescent, rainbow-like look when hit with flash. Reflective detailing also appears throughout the rope laces.
As expected from the booted version of the Air Jordan 9, the familiar basketball silhouette is reworked for colder conditions with a higher-cut construction, rugged outsole, pull tabs, and more substantial materials. The latest pair keeps those outdoor-ready elements while staying relatively understated when the reflective panels aren’t activated.
The Air Jordan 9 Boot “Anthracite” is expected to release during Holiday 2026 for $240. A firm release date has not yet been announced.
