Establishing herself as the most prolific female collaborator for the brand, Aleali May and Jordan Brand have delivered some of the most

Often drawing from personal events, locations, family, and friends, May has made collaborations her own — a rarity in this modern age of phone-in collabs. For May, none have been more personal than her personal Air Jordan 4PE that honors her father, one of the nation’s veterans.

Teased by May last Veteran’s Day, the pair nods her dad’s service in the US Army from 1990 to 2013, a time in which he fought in the Gulf War. Though it was previously sighted only once, @hanzuying has obtained a pair for us to see in greater detail.

Imagery shows ripstop uppers clad in desert camo covering the entirety of the uppers, tongues, and overlays, while solid tan suedes surface on the midsole and heel tag. Tonal tan plastics join the midfoot mesh, liners, laces, and sole units, with a slew of special details completing the design, including a Velcro tongue patch that nods to the 4th Infantry Division, and May’s signature A motif atop a quilted purple leather insole.

Enjoy a detailed look at the pair just below, as it’s likely it’s the closest we’ll ever get — the pair is expected to remain a personal pair for May and likely never to see a retail release.
