Where to Buy the Air Jordan 1 High “Bio Hack”
After first unveiling the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom “Brut” earlier this month, it appears that there’s another classic Dunk-inspired Air Jordan 1 on the way, this time taking on a similar aesthetic of 2005’s Undefeated x Nike Dunk High NL — a pair dubbed the Air Jordan 1 “Bio Hack”
In 2005, LA’s Undefeated linked up with the Swoosh on the slimmer “NL” — No Liner — Dunk for a creative take on the. Right in the midst of the SB Dunk Low’s prime, the vibrant colors and premium materials on UNDFTD’s efforts perfectly encapsulated collaborations of the era, yet stood alone as an audacious piece. The Tier 0 release was limited to just 5000 pairs worldwide and still remains a grail for many, with pairs fetching one stack or more on the aftermarket.
Now, like the Brut SB Dunk from 2007, it is honored by the Air Jordan 1 in 2020, with the thematics of the pair set to transfer to the similarly-built silhouette. While first depicted to be a straight transfer of blocking, first looks provided by @soledebrief show that, although it arrives in a like construction and palate, it’s blocking is significantly different to that of the Undefeated Dunk. Starting at the bottom, sole units arrive in a similar green and black, while uppers constructed in suede, leather, and nylon provide the most noticeable switch-ups. Collars and heel overlays arrive in Baroque Brown suede, with eyelet and toe overlays boasting a faded navy blue. Nylon tongues arrive in a vibrant Laser Orange, complete with a retro-inspired tongue tag, whilst liners arrive in neon Racer Pink. Remaining unchanged is the black suede quarter panels, blue toes, and black laces.
Pairs are expected to arrive in full family sizing on September 4th. Grab a look at the updated mock-ups and first looks here below, and with more info sure to follow over the coming weeks, you’ll want to make sure you’re tuned into our official Twitter account for updates
