CC Sabathia Receives Custom Air Jordan 3s for Hall of Fame Induction

This weekend, baseball legend CC Sabathia was officially inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame — an unanimous ballot— and Jordan Brand came through with a fitting tribute for the milestone.

Created as a one-of-a-kind gift for the Cooperstown ceremony, the custom Air Jordan 3 design is adorned with white tumbled leather and regal gold elephant print overlays to commemorate the historic moment. But it’s the mismatched heels that bring a deeper narrative to life, with each shoe paying tribute to Sabathia’s most iconic MLB stops.

The left sneaker represents his early days with the Cleveland Guardians, featuring navy and red accents and a navy heel tab, while the right nods to his dominant run with the New York Yankees in red and navy with a red heel. A year-long stint with the Milwaukee Brewers separates the two tenures, subtly tying them together with a shared palette and championship gold details.

Additional touches include metallic gold Jumpman branding on the tongues and special embroidery with Sabathia’s jersey number “52” stitched into each. The pair comes housed in a luxurious wooden crate that spotlights his career accomplishments — from over 3,000 strikeouts to a 2009 World Series title — along with Jordan and personal logos etched into the inside lid, as seen in the video above courtesy of @moyevisuals.
