March’s Air Jordan 1 High OG “University Blue” is one of those sneakers that will live on for decades. Its ever-relevant UNC association, classic Chi blocking, subtle use of color, and texture contrast, made it an easy-to-wear pair. Like the “SBB” / “Bred Toe” blocking, it’s something that will undoubtedly be revisited by the brand due to its sheer popularity — and should Jordan Brand look to more colorways of the “Chicago Suede” style, we’re sure they’d be welcomed with just as much praise — perhaps even more.

With the sneaker’s use of soft suedes, it’s likely that future palettes will remain at the pastel end of the spectrum, so it got us playing around in Photoshop with a few options, on which we settled on this Air Jordan 1 High OG “Arctic Pink” — somewhat of an alternative to the baby blue dished up earlier this year. And believe us when we say that this blocking and construction looks just as good in any soft-hued palette. Lavender, lemon, mint, and more — we’ve tested them all out and none would go unloved by the majority of the market.

Take a look at our renders of this speculative colorway below, and stay tuned for more, as we’ll be sure to add a handful of other pastel options for your enjoyment soon.
