With the sheer amount of speculative mock-ups we provided for future Jordan Releases, there’s bound to be a few bangers. In fact, we’ve had more than a few of those made by fugazi factories in China — complete with our watermark intact:
The above was just one of many mock-ups that didn’t eventuate, and today we went back through a few to find some that really stand out; ones that could easily break a retailer’s website if they ever dropped. We came this Air Jordan 1 High “UNC Toe” from the archive, one that was originally pinned to the Air Jordan1 High OG “UNC” release from 2019. And while the actual colorway was dead fire, these, too, would be up there with the best. The famed “Bred Toe” blocking works on just about anything, but instead of a straight-up black Swoosh, we imagined that Uni Blue might be better suited for a point of difference. Black all the way from the vamp to the throat is underrated, leaving the whites at the mid panel and midsole to pop. All-in-all, we were pretty damn happy with it — and we still are. Maybe one day…
