The once-called “Katrina” Air Jordan 3 was a special edition back in 2006 that was designed by Jordan Brand exclusively for a charity auction to support the relief efforts from Hurricane Katrina. This sneaker never released to the public.
And it is now part of a wider release celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3, which first debuted in 1988 – and it’s following some absolute gems. February was unforgettable, highlighted by the return of the “Black/Cement” the “JTH” Pop-up, and the “Dunk Contest” 3’s, but the rest of the calendar year won’t get left behind, with this highly anticipated release to hit store in May.
The Air Jordan 3, now labelled “Hall of Fame”, will release on May 12th on Nike.com for $190.
