DJ Lagway, Florida Gators Quarterback, Signs with Jordan Brand

Jordan Brand has just announced the signing of Derek "DJ" Lagway Jr., the 20-year-old sophomore quarterback with the University of Florida Gators Football Team.

Michael Jordan's eponymous imprint has a history with the North Florida, recently having gifted the school's football squad Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 1 Low cleats. Lagway's signing, however, showcases the brand's commitment to individual talent, highlighting its never-ending pursuit of individuals who demonstrate the grit and greatness-oriented mindset that "His Airness" is known for.

During the 2024 season, Lagway threw 1,915 yards and achieved 12 touchdowns. Although his Gators are sitting at numerous 15 in ranking, the quarterback is poised to return the Florida institution to better days. All signs point to a decisive victory against Long Island University Sharks on Saturday, Aug. 30. A tough road awaits ahead, but one thing can already be certain: DJ Lagway will face it while representing Jordan Brand.
