Jordan Brand is just as dedicated to performance basketball footwear as it is to storytelling. In 2015, the eponymous label launched the Air Jordan 7 "Nothing But Net," a makeover inspired by one of Michael Jordan's most iconic commercial appearances. Ahead of fall, Jordan MVP 92 silhouette has emerged in the same 1990s-appropriate look.
The "restomod" design features clear design cues from Tinker Hatfield's fifth creation for the Air Jordan line. Its overall shape is slimmer and shorter, but panel layouts and tread underfoot make the connection unmistakable. The "Nothing But Net" update further cements the MVP 92 in AJ7 history, opting for the same "White/Black" base on which to present vibrant "Bright Concord" and "Laser Orange" zig-zag patterns. Retro touches also land on the footbed and outsole, bringing decades-old flair into the modern day.
Firm release details of the latest MVP 92 offering haven't been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but pairs should release via Nike.com/Jordan by November. In the meantime, enjoy the McDonald's commercial that inspired the "Nothing But Net" makeover and official photos of the shoes ahead.
