Throughout the years, Jordan Brand has crafted an impressive collection of sneaker marvels, several of which have looked back into their own archvive for inspiration. Showcasing celebrated hybrid creations like the Spiz'ike and Dub Zero and the distinguished numbered series like this year's Air Jordan 37, which took cues from the iconic Air Jordan 7 of 1992, the brand has shown a penchant to pay tribute to itself. By merging elements from prior models, the brand has fashioned pioneering lifestyle footwear infused with cutting-edge technology. In line with this legacy, the Jordan Stadium 90, the newest addition, borrows significant inspiration from the Air Jordan 5, the 1990 classic that lends its name to the contemporary silhouette.
Displaying an array of design features rooted in Tinker Hatfield's original Jordan 5 vision, the sneakers incorporate cushioned collars, meshed midfoot panels, assertive forefoot serrations, and Nike Air branding on the back. Progressing beyond the ancestry, the kicks are embellished with modern suede overlays and a more streamlined shape, diverging from the original. The final touches include the brand's groundbreaking Formula 23 cushioning system underneath and evocative tongue labels on top.
The latest colorway to emerge thus far follows a pattern of crisp white leathers and neutral suede overlays, this time adding accents of deep black for impact. Distinct from previous iterations, this pair showcases a unique signature tongue, with the Stadium 90 emblem displayed on the reverse side.
Be sure to check out the images of the all-new colorway below, and expect to see these hit Nike.com on May 12th for $145.
This pair is just one of many Air Jordan releases previewed for the year ahead, all of which you can check out here on our comprehensive Air Jordan Release Dates Calendar.
