Jordan Zion 2 “Voodoo” Arrives June 22
With more momentum thrust behind the Jorda Zion range towards the end of the NBA season, one would suggest that Mike and co. already has big things in store for the Pelicans star next season. With the debut colorway of his second signature sneaker mere weeks away from release, a very first look at t new colorway has appeared — the Jordan Zion 2 “Voodoo”
Unlike other signature series from the likes of Russell Westbrook or Kyrie Irving, DNA from the series has clearly not carried over into his proceeding design, with a complete overhaul of the silhouette seen via these very first looks. Sole units look compressed, with Zoom Air noted at the forefoot strap — another new inclusion — both elements that benefit the bigger, heavier player. There appears to be more reinforcement at the heel, toe, and lateral sides — because we all know he needs it after blowing out his PG’s at Duke — with a slightly lower rise at the collar, and significantly less padding around the area, too.
One thing he has carried over — at least for this release — is the power forward’s ties to Louisiana.
Here, the pair proffers a voodoo theme that’s often linked to the state, with canvas-clad uppers in earthy hues, suede overlays, tack stitching, and fur tongues — it even inclusive a voodoo-inspired sull motif at the heel. All of this rests atop a sail and gum sole unit.
Grab an official look at the Jordan Zion 2 “Voodoo” here below, and expect to see these release on June 22nd, followed by the “Hope Diamond” colorway on June 30.
