The “Iridescent” Jordan 1 Mid Is Made to Shine on the Playground
Kids' Air Jordans—especially the Jordan 1—have long served as a creative outlet for Nike designers. Over the years, the silhouette has been a canvas for whimsical makeovers, bold colors, and experimental materials that rarely appear on adult pairs. That trend continues with the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid “Iridescent,” which revives one of the brand’s flashiest finishes for the youth-sized classic.
Somewhat reminiscent of the “Chameleon” Air Jordan 1 that debuted during All-Star Weekend in 2017, this kids-exclusive release features shimmering iridescent panels across the toe box, quarters, and heel. The color shifts between hues of pink, blue, and green depending on the angle, giving the sneaker a playful, eye-catching twist.
Supporting the color-shifting panels are smooth black leather overlays, a matching nylon tongue, and black laces to anchor the design. Tonal branding—including a Jumpman tongue logo and debossed Wings emblem—keeps the focus on the upper’s striking finish. Underfoot, a classic white midsole and black rubber outsole maintain the timeless Jordan look.
Expect the Kids Air Jordan 1 Mid “Iridescent” to release this Fall 2025 in Grade School sizing via Nike.com and select retailers.
