Air Jordan 1 Mid “Sneaker School” is Coming Soon

Listen up little ones, school is now in session: Jordan Brand is equipping the next generation of sneakerheads with rarely-taught sneaker knowledge on their newest release for kids, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Sneaker School”

Arriving in the same vein as this year’s “DIY” Air Jordan collection for kids comes this simple black and white Air Jordan 1 Mid that clearly defines a sneaker’s anatomy. From Toe boxes to vamps, to foxing and cupsoles, the pair identifies the parts and pieces that make a shoe a shoe. It’s not often taught, and even some sneakerheads have a hard time pointing out a vamp if asked. This release should clear any confusion — but there’s more to it than a simple diagram-style release. Included with the sneaker is a photocopiable sheet of said shoe pieces for one to color in and tack onto their shoe to create a ‘what if’ design. Clearly, Photoshop is much easier than physical cut-and-paste, but it’s significantly more fun to break out the Crayolas and safety scissors and go for it.

Though you won’t get great wear out of stick-on paper overlays, it can give you a visualization — and a trial and error runs— of what color to paint your shoes in. Yes — Jordan Brand is once again encouraging you to break out the sharpies and color in these kicks — just make sure you trail as many colorways as possible before popping the pen cap.

A release date for the kids-exclusive Air Jordan 1 Mid “Sneaker School” has not yet been set, but with official images arriving today, you should expect to see a release soon.
