Detailed Look // Women's-Exclusive Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Varsity Red'

In what is shaping up to be a standout release for Summer 2025, Jordan Brand is set to launch the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Varsity Red," exclusively for women.

Information sourced by House of Heat° and Elden confirms the upcoming ladies-exclusive will arrive in 'Varsity Red/White,' with 'Black' logos. Early speculation of what the pair might look like landed many netizens on the OG version of the High 85 "New Beginnings" given the similar color listing for this women's-exclusive. This similarity inspired visual mock-ups that've since been disproven.

Instagram user @solebyjc has provided the first in-hand look at the pair. The style most-closely resembles the 'Bred Toe' Jordan 1 that's launched in High and Low form. What sets the women's release apart, however, is the textured, almost cracked leather panels at the forefoot and across the heel and ankle. A backstory for the design update will surely accompany an official product announcement from the brand. Expect the women's 'Varsity Red' retro to hit Nike.com by June. The special pair should retail for typical $180, but that could change.
