Update 12.31.19 Well, we hate to ruin your New Years Eve — but we didn’t want to start off your 2020 with some shitful news: the OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow” is not releasing, despite Hypebeast’s best attempts to get you, well, hyped. We’ve been told by a few sources that the release is not on the horizon, a claim that has also been backed by multiple sources including @soledebrief. Should anything change on that, we’ll be sure to keep you posted over on our Twitter feed.

OG Post 12.26.19 // First appearing at Virgil Abloh‘s “Figures of Speech” exhibition at the MCA Chicago this past June, the OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow” has been at the center of speculation ever since. Rumors of a release were heightened earlier this week, when Erik Arteaga posted a video of himself skating in the rare Air on the ‘gram (below) — and now — according to Hypebeast — it looks like we may see a retail release in 2020.

The OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 1“Canary Yellow” instantly struck a chord with fans who, at the time, we’re hyped up over an impending “Yellow Toe” Air Jordan 1. The release turned out to be a hoax, but the demand for Yellow Air Jordan 1s remained, leading this pair to be one of the most talked-about sample sneakers in recent times. And it’s easy to see why.

It arrives similar in makeup to Virgil’s “UNC” edition but instead utilizes the title color for its leather overlays and outsoles. The collar colors are flipped to white with yellow Wings branding, the Swoosh arrives in a crisp white, and the pair is capped off with an accompanying black zip-tie, blue Swoosh tack stitiching and the signature “AIR” branding on the lateral midsole.

Take a peep at the sample OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow” in detail below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our Twitter Feed for further updates.
