Though it may not be the desired outcome for sneakerheads the world over, we finally have confirmation that the OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 4 “Bred” will not release, as per a Jordan Brand spokesperson.
First reveaeld as part of Virgil Abloh’s 2019 “Figures of Speec” exhibit at MCA Chicago, the pair quickly became a source of specualtion on social media. Will they drop? Won’t they? Countless ‘samples’ over the years suggested that a release may be on the cards. Then, this week, Designer Arthur Kar flexed a legitimate pair on social, sparking the rumors once more. It is important to note that Abloh and Kar were close, with Kar providing vintage vehicles for his OFF-WHITE FW20 showing.
Finally putting an end to speculation, Complex recieved a statement from an emplyee at the brand who claimed that ther eare no plans to make them available to the public.
Of course, this didn’t rule out future endeavours, but for the foreseeable future, it’s not happening, folks.
If you’re still wanting a little taste of the OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 4, the ladies-exclusive “Sail” release went down in 2020, and you can still grab a pair right here on the aftermarket.
