When first images of the highly-anticipated OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 5 dropped earlier this week, people didn’t know what to make of it. Perhaps people expected more from Abloh, or maybe they were confused because they didn’t like the shoe, but have been conditioned to love everything that Virgil puts out thanks to social media. There were some people, though, that loved it. Whichever way it went, the mood is bound to change, because the first pictures were actually pretty shitty and hard gauge a vibe from.
But never fear, more looks are here!
Update 12.10.19 Word is now floating around of an April release for the OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 5, again, this news is yet to be confirmed. 46,000 pairs are also said to be in production, 16 thousand units less than Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 6, which means this will be a tough cop but not impossible. Stay tuned for confirmation!Update 01.24.20 Official images of the OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 5 have arrived ahead of it’s February 15th release. The pair also includes special-edition packaging, three sets of laces. Take a look through the full gallery below, and keep your eyes locked on our Jordan Release Dates Calendar for up-to-date shopping guides for the drop.
Thanks to @hanzuyng, our best look yet at the pair has arrived, which shows more detailed shots of the plastic-covered upper, exposed foam liners, translucent circular windows and more. Slowly but surely, these are growing on a lot of people. As for a release — we’re expecting these to arrive as part of Jordan Brand’s All-Star Weekend activities in Chicago — both Mike and Virgil Abloh’s home court, but that’s yet to be confirmed.

Detailed Looks //
OG Post 09.17.19 // Rumors circling around today of an OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 5 release, which is said to include two colorways for the silhouette’s 30th-anniversary celebration in 2020.
Sources close to Jordan Brand factories have implied that they are about to start sample production on two colorways, both of which are yet to be revealed, but could likely take on a similar approach to the Air Jordan 4 samples we saw at Virgil Abloh’s MCA showing earlier this year. So with production underway soon, you can expect to start seeing first looks and more info surrounding the release over the coming weeks. We’ve whipped up a Photoshop below to get the juices flowing, but take that with a grain of salt; Because knowing Virgil, almost anything could pop out.
We have word that the pair is set to arrive in February next year, and there’s also rumors going around that the two-piece pack will headline Jordan Brand’s All-Star Weekend in Chicago — which would make a lot of sense, considering Virgil is from the Windy City. But at this stage we’re just sitting, waiting for rumors to be confirmed, so stay tuned for more — we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop when more develops.
