Tinker does it again — again.
Recently hitting the stage at the WIRED25 Festival in San Francisco, Tinker Hatfield had a few things to say about his latest innovative pet project, a Jordan Brand running shoe dubbed the ‘React GOAT’.
During his chat with WIRED editor in chief Scott Dadich, Tinker unveiled the inspiration behind new shoe’s design, and why it should be the go-to sneaker for those lacking in athletic ability — like yours truly.
‘This is a running shoe for people who don’t like to run,’ says Hatfield. ‘… It’s about ready to be commercialised, it has been shown to the sales force, it has been shown to the retailers.’
Stabilizing structures are built into a black nylon latticework frame around the heel for more stability, to help athletes such as 240-pound football linebackers or those who aren’t especially fast, or don’t have great form and technique.
UPDATE 10.19.18 //
Travis Scott took to IG Stories to flex this “Astrowrold” colorway for the upcoming “GOAT” Jordan Runner. These look to be a PE, and likely wont release to the public — unfortunately.
We’re expecting the official word on these from Oregon very soon, but until then, you can check out Tinker’s unofficial unveiling here:
