UNC Football has once again tapped into its Jordan Brand exclusivity, revealing two new cleated makeups for the 2025 season. As Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the Tar Heels continue to be the first in line for player-exclusive footwear that bridges heritage design with on-field performance.
The first is the Jordan 1 Vapor Edge cleat, which adapts the timeless Air Jordan 1 for the gridiron. Its leather upper is dressed in white and Carolina Blue, with navy accents and familiar Air Jordan branding carried over. A Vapor Edge plate system underfoot ensures maximum speed and traction, making it as functional as it is stylish.
Joining it is the Jordan 4 Alpha Menace cleat, modeled after the iconic Air Jordan 4. This UNC edition comes in University Blue with support wings, mesh paneling, and the signature heel tab—finished with Nike Air branding for an authentic retro touch. The Alpha Menace tooling ensures durability and support, built for the rigors of football while honoring Jordan Brand history.
Like all Tar Heel PEs, the Jordan 1 Vapor Edge and Jordan 4 Alpha Menace cleats are strictly reserved for UNC athletes and will not release to the public.
However, you can checkout these "Shattered Backboard" Air Jordan 1 TD Cleats which are available now on Nike.com.
