Jordan Brand Give the Jordan 1 Mid an Equal Opportunity
Equal opportunity.
Last year, Nike’s “Equality” series hit the beloved Air Jordan 1 High, but what about it’s less-loved sister, the mid? Sure, it’s the butt of all jokes, a shoe people get flamed on; all because its cut slightly lower. Really though, It makes no sense.
SO — in the spirit of equal opportunity, Jordan Brand are giving the OG’s little brother it’s time in the limelight for Black History Month 2019.
Gone are the uniformed annual themes for BHM, with this pair greatly differing from the accompanying Air Jordan 2, arriving in a more subdued monochrome palate. The basic-blocking is spruced up with oversized “Equality” etched on the rear (in place of that god-awful Jumpman) and special patterns doing their thing on the Swooshes. Interestingly, Melo’s signature Jordan logo hits the tongues and insoles in place of the traditional Jumpman.
