OG Post 06.08.20 // It’s hard not to get excited about the stellar year for Jordan releases that 2021 is panning out to be. We’ve already had confirmation of the return of the “Carmine” Air Jordan 6, the “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 3, and an all-new “UNC” Air Jordan 1for March Madness. There are several other promising releases too, including a possible return of the OG Metallic Purple Air Jordan 1, a sneaker that’s one of the few original yet to receive a proper OG reissue.

News breaking today has a White/Court Purple Air Jordan 1 pegged for April next year, but at this stage, it’s unclear if it will be a reissue of the OG. Listed color blocking suggests that it may be the case, but you never know with Jordan Brand — rarely do they give us exactly what we want. It’s also important to note that the release is listed as a ladies-exclusive, which is likely to run into extended sizes.

A first look at the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Court Purple” has arrived — and while it’s not quite the OG it does appear to arrive in virtually identical blocking. A very first image shared by @leaked.sneaks depicts a white leather-based pair, with OG-like purple collars and Checks. Tweaks come into play via premium satin liners, minimized Wings motifs, and the inclusion of leather tongues over the OG’s typical nylon. A release date for the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Court Purple” has been earmarked for June 3rd, 2021, and will be arriving in extended women’s, preschool, and toddler sizing. If you can’t wait it out, pairs are already available on the aftermarket from stores like GOATand Flight Club.
