Earlier this year, New Orleans Pelican’s power forward Zion Williamson put his twist and unique southern flavor on the Air Jordan 34silhouette which was warmly received. Now back again to stir up the murky swamp waters to deliver a fresh design honoring Zion’s new home in the Bayou State, presenting the Air Jordan 1 Zoom Comfort “Bayou Boys”.
On this latest addition to Zion’s slowly increasing portfolio, we see the perfect amalgamation of retro stylings and modern southern charm. Using the AJ1 as its canvas, we’re presented with an upper comprised of black washed denim and a black suede toe as the foundation which plays host to purple faux crocodile leather overlays in typical AJ1 positioning. Underfoot where the rubber meets the road, we see an all-white midsole framed by a two-tone black and “Lime Blast” green outer sole to ensure a comfortable ride. Completing the design is a black suede swoosh, lime blast green exposed foam tongue/heel support, the “ZOOM AIR” tongue branding, and on the reverse side reads “BAYOU BOYS”. The pair also comes boxed with replacement laces in black, green, and purple to suit any color combination you’re vibing.
