Mister Mort and Tip Top Shoes Rework the Mephisto Match

Mister Mort and Tip Top Shoes are teaming up with Mephisto for a special edition of the Match, bringing a distinctly New York approach to one of the brand’s longtime walking silhouettes.

The collaboration takes inspiration from traditional mountaineering boots, pairing rugged roughout leather across the upper with Mephisto’s Desert Mamouth leather around the heel. The contrast adds durability in high-wear areas while keeping the Match’s familiar shape intact.

Hiking references continue through the shoe’s D-ring speed-lacing system and four included lace options. Three feature trail-inspired ticking, while a flat brown set offers a more understated look. A woven tongue label brings together branding from Mister Mort, Tip Top Shoes, and Mephisto, along with the phrase, “Town or Country No Mountain You Can’t Climb.”

The project also reflects the Match’s long-running presence around New York, particularly on the Upper West Side where Tip Top Shoes has remained a neighborhood fixture. Built around comfort and everyday walking, the collaboration keeps the model’s soft interior and shock-absorbing setup while giving it a more outdoors-driven finish.

The Mister Mort & Tip Top Shoes x Mephisto Match releases October 31 for $425. Pairs will be available at Tip Top Shoes in-store beginning at 10 AM ET, followed by an online release at 12 PM ET. A collaborative hat will also release for $38.
