Brooklyn-based art collective MSCHF, the creative minds behind the viral Big Red Boot, is at it again with a new offering of their inventive backward BWD shoe from last year, this time in a high top.
The MSCHF BWD High not only challenges traditional aesthetics but also functionality, featuring dual foot entry points. This innovative design allows the shoe to be worn both normally and backwards. The sole of the BWD High is as bold as its concept, sporting a colossal build with black and blue treatments and a chevron tread that ensures robust functionality beneath its striking appearance.
The design doesn't stop there; it incorporates various blue arrows that sporadically decorate the upper, enhancing the shoe's dynamic look. Aesthetically, the BWD High draws inspiration from 1990s basketball sneakers, with nods to iconic adidas and Jordan designs. Notably, the protruding section near the collar echoes the Air Jordan 6, bridging past influences with modern experimental design.
Set for release on September 24th at 2:00 PM EST, the MSCHF BWD High will be available exclusively through MSCHF’s website for $200.
