The “Yellow” Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 827 to See Wider Release Next Week

They say good things come in threes. First, Aime Leon Dore granted some lucky VIPs early raffle access for their New Balance 827 collaboration, then, the brand dropped the full three-piece pack exclusively in-store just yesterday, and finally, we’ll be getting to see a much wider release.

It won’t be all three pairs, though, with just the vibrant yellow edition eligible for purchase (for now), with New Balance brand partners around the globe announcing a wider release for next week. At its core the pair stays true to 90s runner heritage, with white mesh at its base, with navy overlays and white midsoles staying stuck in the era. Countering that in true ALD fashion is the use of bold primary color pops with a focus on golden-yellow and, to a lesser extent red, blue and green, resulting in one of the most colorful collabs for the Boston-based brand since Bodega’s epic 997 Sports last year.
