Ganja-Geared New Balance 991 Restocks Ahead of 420
With all the hype surrounding it’s younger 992 brother, the New Balance 991 has been sitting in the shadows, waiting for the smoke to settle before unloading a slew of clean colorways. Just last week we saw a color-popped two-pack, and now — right in time for 4/20 — this ganja-themed 991 surfaces.
Funnily enough, these actually surfaced mid-last year and sold out pretty much everywhere. And while they’re not officially aligned to the Mary Jane jubilee, the timing of this restock is very suspect. A supple green suede upper, laces, and mesh underlay are in reference to the reefer’s natural hue, while the rest of the sneaker remains as classic as can be. Grey liners and overlays, Sliver and white profile “N” motifs, and with a white, black and grey sole unit keep things on-par with the OG 99x lineage from the 1980s.
Take a look at this skunky sneaker in detail below, before heading to retailers 43einhalb to pick up your pair today to arrive in time for next month’s World Weed Day on April 20th.
