Where to Buy the Aminé x New Balance 610 "The Mooz"

Grammy-nominated artist Aminé took to social media, specifically Instagram, to give fans a sneak peek of his debut sneaker collaboration involving the New Balance 610 model.

Having been an ambassador for New Balance since April 2022, Aminé recently shared a billboard, which states, "A kid from Portland has his own sneaker," accompanied by logos from both parties, his own Club Banana, and an image showcasing crates of bananas. Now, one week after this exciting teaser, Aminé released photos of the actual sneaker, and christened the New Balance 610 "The Mooz."

The shoe flaunts a blend of yellow and brown hues, with the latter color dominating the patent leather overlays. A bright yellow, spread-out mesh underlay complements the lacing system and leather piping that contours the brown "N" logo. A 610-branded window, with a banana sticker floating in a snow globe-like effect, nestles near the brown mesh collar. Additional features include a dual-branded tongue tag, Aminé branding on the split-colored insole, and iridescent patches scattered across sections of the upper. The design is brought together by a brown midsole infused with dark brown and yellow touches near the heel, and a brown and yellow outsole.

In addition to the banana crate-inspired packaging and color scheme representing his Club Banana brand, the moniker "Mooz" stems from the word for "banana" in Amharic - the language spoken by Aminé and his family during his upbringing.

The Aminé x New Balance 610 "The Mooz" will see a release first on August 22nd via anime.store followed by a wider retail rollout on August 24.
