In recent times, AURALEE and New Balance have combined on more than a handful of footwear collaborations, from the ultra-colourful to mostly minimal. Regardless of their mood at the time, the Japanese imprint has first and foremost focused on capturing their brand’s identity, with quality being one of the most significant elements in their design. Their next two designs, the AURALEE x New Balance 2002R collection, continues that mantra, with each option providing a whimsical-yet-reserved mix of hues — and, of course, a strong focus of quality.

Though each pair arrives in similar blocking there are unique difference between the pairs/ Firstly, the wheat-based pair leans more towards seasonal suede and minimal use of melon-green accents. The accompanying pair — a white-based release — severs up a more noticeable mix of colors, with a stronger focus on the leather construct. Both pairs arrive on a sail, olive, and yellow N-ERGY-loaded midsole, with alternating outsoles of black and gold rounding out the designs.
