As has been the case for a lot of fashion labels this past week, Japanese imprint AURALEE has unveiled a brand-new sneaker collaboration amidst their Paris Fashion Week runway show for Spring/Summer 2022. Amongst the gems on show was a trio of collaborative New Balance XC-72s in beautiful tonal hues.
In true AURALEE fashion, Ryota Iwai has shown finely-tuned restraint, working in seaside hues of sand and green-blue, and a third option in earthy brown.. But whilst they are both tonal in nature, there is a distinct difference in their delivery. The former opts for fine nubuck, whilst the sea-green gears up in shaggy suedes (and what appears to be leather). The final installment arrives in materials somewhere between the two, and deviates slightly from the others with a black sole unit, not brown.
