Bodega Unveil Upcoming New Balance 997s Collaboration

Boston-based Bodega already has a highly curated back catalog of sneaker collaborations with the neighboring New Balance — but their next effort on the 997s might just be their best yet.

Aside from the outstanding ordination of colors, including purple, orange, yellow, pink and teal, the Bodega designers have reshaped the 997s’ toebox, opting for a more aggressive shape and added a hairy grey suede overlay on the lateral side panel. Grey leather is featured on the medial side panel, along with a black neoprene bootie system and purple heel, each sporting various textures.

This pair’s mismatched design continues with different colors and finishes used on the lateral and medial “N” logos. An ABZORB and ENCAP-cushioned midsole and black rubber outsole complete the design. As an added bonus, Bodega has also included three different lacing options as well for some personal customization.

The “No Days Off” Bodega x New Balance 997s will be available exclusively on the NTWRK app on Thursday, April 4th, with a wider release at Bodega brick-and-mortar stores and bdgastore.com on Saturday, April 6 for $160.
