Jett Harrison Joins Brother Marvin Harrison Jr. at New Balance

New Balance’s American Football family is adding another Harrison.

16 year-old Jett Harrison has joined the brand’s growing roster, bringing him under the same banner as his brother, Marvin Harrison Jr. While the brothers are each building their own path in football, the partnership gives them another opportunity to grow together through a brand they believe shares their values.

For Jett, the trust New Balance has established with Marvin played an important role in making the partnership feel natural.

“I think family is very important,” Jett told House of Heat°. “Seeing the relationship my brother built with New Balance, it was all about family. It was about trust. I know it’s going to be great.”

Marvin described the signing as another meaningful chapter in a lifelong connection built around football. The brothers grew up watching their father, competing against each other, and pushing one another to improve.

“Jett joining New Balance means a lot,” Marvin said. “Ever since we were kids, football has been something we’ve shared. We grew up watching our dad, competing against each other, and helping each other get better.”

“Now, to be part of the same brand is really special, especially one so focused on family. I’m proud of the player Jett is becoming, but even more proud of the person he is.”

Finding the Right Cleat

Beyond the family connection, Jett’s early experience with New Balance footwear helped confirm the fit.

The receiver has primarily worn the New Balance Rev IQ, praising its comfort and sneaker-like feel. Rather than needing a lengthy break-in period, Jett said the cleat felt familiar almost immediately.

“As soon as I put the cleat on, it felt like a regular shoe,” he said. “The most important thing for me is comfortability. I think the Rev IQs have that.”

When asked how the cleat performed during his first training session, Jett added: “It felt like day 100 wearing them. I felt like I could wear them for days.”

That sense of comfort is particularly important for a receiver, where quick changes of direction, sharp breaks, and repeated acceleration place significant demands on footwear.

Marvin said New Balance’s willingness to listen to its athletes has helped the brand better understand those needs.

“As a receiver, every detail matters,” Marvin said. “It’s how you get in and out of your breaks, how quickly you can change direction, and how confident you feel in big moments.”

“For me, it’s about feeling fast, locked in, and comfortable for every snap. That freedom lets you focus on making plays instead of what’s on your feet.”

Keeping Things Simple

Jett’s approach to style is as straightforward as his approach to the game.

While future player-exclusive designs and personal colorways could become part of the partnership, he already knows the direction he would prefer: something clean, understated, and built around black.

“I’m just the basic guy, and I like black,” he said. “Something with black is really special.”

For Jett, that preference reflects the mentality he brings onto the field.

“That’s how I grew up,” he said. “I just came to play, and life is just simple. I’m just ready to play.”

He is also open to wearing colorways inspired by Ohio State and other stops in his football journey. Away from the field, his New Balance connection remains just as visible.

“Off the field, New Balance,” Jett said. “Everywhere I go.”

Marvin’s style follows a similar philosophy. He favors clean, comfortable footwear that can transition between football, training, meetings, and everyday life. On the field, he wears the New Balance Rev X, while the AC Runner has become one of his regular off-field options.

Building Something Beyond Footwear

Jett also wants his relationship with New Balance to create opportunities for younger players.

Giving back through football camps and summer programs is already among the ideas he hopes to pursue. His goal is to help children get outside, experience the sport, and enjoy the community that comes with it.

“I want to be able to give back at some point,” he said. “I want to give back to all the little kids.”

When asked about the causes he hopes to support, Jett pointed to “getting kids out of the house and experiencing the life of football and having fun during the summer.”

A future New Balance football camp could become one way to bring that goal to life as the partnership develops.

Growing With New Balance Football

New Balance continues to expand its presence in American Football through new athletes and performance products. With Jett joining Marvin, the Harrison brothers now have an opportunity to help shape that growth while connecting with the next generation.

“I see them as a real family,” Jett said. “They treat me well. They treat my brother well. I think I can grow the game and make a positive impact and help the younger generation.”

Marvin shares that vision, viewing the partnership as an opportunity for both brothers to establish their own identities while supporting the brand’s continued development in football.

“As New Balance continues to grow in football, we’re excited to grow alongside the brand and help inspire the next generation of athletes,” he said.

“For Jett and me, it’s always been about growing the game in an authentic way and being a good example for young players. We’re both carving out our own paths, and it’s exciting to do that with a brand that shares those same values.”
