Kith Reworks the New Balance 991v2 for Spring 2025

Ronnie Fieg and his Kith squad are never not working. Recently, the New York City-based institution tapped Fabolous and Jadakiss to help unveil its Spring 2025 collection via music video. The legendary rap duo unveiled what seems like an unreleased New Balance model. In an upcoming look book, Fieg and company also teased an NB 991v2 collaboration by Kith.

The unconfirmed drop joins a growing list of collaborative efforts from the Queens-native, which already includes collections for adidas Originals and Clarks Originals. Fieg's impending work for New Balance, however, reimagines one of the brand's newer silhouettes. Produced in the United Kingdom, the New Balance 991v2 has enjoyed a gradual release cycle that kicked off with a collaboration with Stone Island. Kith's stab at the part-heritage, part-modern design seemingly employs a classic 'Steel Blue' look that's landed on icons like the NB 1300 and Fieg's own projects on the NB 992 and NB 990v3.

A first-look at the pair reveals the model's typical high-quality construction. FuelCell-assisted sole units offer a faux-aged finish. Laces indulge in an icy blue that deviates from the remainder of the Kith 991v2, but that works well with the muted color palette. At first glance, the style is reminiscent of the 'Vintage Navy' 991v2 that launched overseas throughout January, but close inspection showcases that the unreleased pair is firmly the work of Ronnie Fieg.
