The new New Balance
We’ve seen the 1500(and the New Balance brand, for that matter) come along in leaps and bounds in this, the sneaker’s 30th anniversary year. Originally released in 1989, the sneaker has rarely deviated from it’s grey and earth-toned makeups, but, perhaps thanks to the brand’s new Tokyo Design Studio influence, we’ve seen the brand and it’s 1500 silhouette really go for it this annum. And now we have yet another bold edition from NB in our sights, this multi-colored, overbranded Made in England M1500UCT.
Boasting similar black, blue, red and yellow makeup to the recently-released New Balance 557, this Made in England 1500 also sports the theme’s overbranded accents, this time with a focus on ENCAP — at the yellow heel overlay — and Five Point Flying at the heel, a reference to vintage NB slogans past. It does, of course, come constructed in premium suede and leathers, in addition to mesh paneling at the toe box, all sitting atop the aforementioned ENCAP cushioning.
