New Balance 1500 “Oatmeal” is Available Now

Reebok isn’t the only sneaker brand with a healthy breakfast on their minds, with rivals New Balance also embarking on an “Oatmeal” offering, here seen on the revered 1500.

This Made in UK release continues to heavy run of 1500 that starting falling last year as part of the silhouette’s 30th Anniversary Celebrations — and as you’ve come to expect from New Balance, its condition, materials and aesthetic is out-of-this-world. Here, the pair is dressed in a chambray-like mesh that alternates between light tan and medium brown, with the same two tones replicated across its overlays. Brown leathers arrive at the midfoot, tongue, and toe, while brushed pigskin rides from toe-to-heel and across the vamp in light Oatmeal. Collars come in a subtle off-white, and house a vibrant splash of turquoise embroidery. The same blue-green hue is found on the inside of the tongue liner, in what is a very obscure addition to the palette. Underfoot you’ll find a clean white midsole hacked with grey, and a dark gum, almost cinder-colored rubber outsole.

Pairs are already available at New Balance UK, but a Stateside release is yet to be announced. If you can’t wait, there’s a ton of pairs floating around now here on eBay.
