Just last year, the Boston-based brand felt the need to retool the silhouette with new features for the 21st-century market — including the new RevLite sole unit, which reduces the sneaker’s weight by 30%. It served as a solid player in the 1500’s 30th anniversary year, but has since been put on the back burner with the brand focusing heavily on the 992 and 327 in 2020. It’s been a minute since we’ve seen NB’s lightweight take on the 1500, but now the RevLite-loaded New Balance 1530 is back — with a bang. Hitting retailers across Europe this month, the New Balance 1530 “Supply Pack” has made quite the impression amongst New Balance fans, selling out in most sizes in no-time, and its obvious to see why. The fresh mix of white leather and mesh paired with muted hues of emerald, burgundy combine for a perfect Summer-to-Fall flex, with Vachetta leather tongues further cementing the cross-seasonal aesthetic. Underfoot remains very basic, with white RevLite midsoles and black and grey rubber outsoles, completing the design.
