Ever since its “Protection Pack” hit the market back in August 2021, the New Balance 2002R has been on a meteoric rise to the top of the brand’s lifestyle offerings. Its innate customizable nature lead to a bevy of customers treated to dip-dye and otherwise, followed by an onslaught of collaborative efforts, including KITH, SSENSE, and Joe Freshgoods. But the success of the silhouette can’t be mentioned without the brand’s continued efforts to deliver incredible in-line releases, like this next-up number in blue, cream, and brown for the Spring/Summer season.
Clad with an upper of cream suede, the pair is quick to layer on the blue suede overlays, with a muted royal hue reaching from the heel to the toe. Joining that is a steely blue at the tongue and liner, and a muted mid-blue across the vamp and heel accents. The heel is wrapped in a shaggy brown suede, with a white and cream sole unit finished by blue rears completes the design.
