Over the past few years, the ultra-comfy New Balance 2002R has established itself as a front-runner in the lifestyle sneaker category. The ex-runner has seen a slew of fashionable overhauls, from colorful suede to the famed “Protection Pack” — and now this New Balance 2002R “Brown Suede” release for the autumnal months of 2022.

A completely tonal upper works in mesh and leather, as well as the titular textile, most of which sits in muted chocolate hues. Pops of warm browns at the tongue and ankle and slightly darker, glossier shades at the midfoot leathers provide contrast but are not as significant as the sail midsole and black rubber outsole underfoot that compete the design.
