Over the past few years, the ultra-comfy New Balance 2002R has established itself as a front-runner in the lifestyle sneaker category. The ex-runner has seen a slew of fashionable overhauls, from colorful suede to the famed “Protection Pack” — and now this New Balance 2002R “Rust Oxide” release for the autumnal months of 2022.
A completely orange upper works in mostly in mesh and suede, most of which sits in hues of fresh rust. There are darker patches, too, along the toes and ankles, with classic silver touches applied to the heel overlay and midfoot N motif. All of this rests atop a sail and white-tinted sole units, with charcoal grey rubber outsoles, and amber-colored N-ERGY rear cushioning pods to complete the design.
