New Balance 550 “White/Purple” Drops June 24th

Like most retro model resurgences, the New Balance 550 enjoyed a big-name collaboration to kick things off before its fully-fledged flooding of the market. That link-up was with Aimé Leon Dore last year, who returned again with two more vintage-treated options last month. Here we take a look at the former, which once again arrives anchored into its retro roots of smooth and perforated white leathers. Those two present as the majority, before bold pops of purple glow up the silhouette. Outsoles, heel clips, collar overlays, tongue liner, vamp panel, and midfoot N motifs all feature the colorful hue, and the pair is completed by a neutral bone suede toe cap and aged-look sail midsole that add to the vintage aesthetic.
