New Balance 550 “Marquette” Arrives October 6th

New Balance will return this Fall with a brand-new college-infused iteration of the 550, with Milwaukee’s Marquette University firmly focused in the brand’s sights.

Though it’s not an official collaboration with the college, the pair’s unmistakable accents of golden yellow and dual blue hues — along with select pops of burgundy that tie into the school’s official coat of arms — cannot be unseen. All of this surrounds a heritage white leather upper, with a retro white, grey, and sky blue sole unit sitting underfoot. In addition to the pair’s atypical blocking, the pair also differs from recent releases of the model with a suede heel overlay, although classic touches like nylon tongues and perforated leathers remain.
