These Multi-Color New Balance 580s Mimic Action Bronson and Stray Rats Colorways
Outside of their staple 99x, the 2002R, and the 550 lines, New Balance has been focusing significantly on their heritage 580 silhouette. Since being reintroduced by long-time collaborators Stray Rats in late 2022, the Rollbar-loaded design has welcomed a handful of in-line colorways, both OG-inspired and new. Its next seemingly looks back to that kick-off collab — or perhaps looking to capitalize on the equally-colorful Baklava 990v6 from Action Bronson— with this new two-pack of multi-color releases.
The blue-based release borrows an eerily-similar scheme to the aforementioned Action Bronson release, though it’s delivered in significantly different proportions. Here, it’s blue mesh, suede, and leather that fit-out the majority of the upper, with refined accents of magenta, teal, and dusty rose. The undercarriage arrives with tints of mossy green, tan, and volt, essentially flipping the color placemtns used on Bam Bam Baklava’s release. The other option leans more towards a traditional Stray Rats palette, with greyscale suede resting atop a striking bright magenta mesh upper and plastics of bright blue. Tan and moss again paint the midsole (in reverse order) with a flash of lime green on the Rollbar insert.
