New Balance is proudly a North American company, but it has a rich history overseas. For more than 40 years, it's been producing high-quality products from out of Flimby, Cumbria, United Kingdom, with some designs being exclusive to the region for years. As part of its expansive Spring/Summer 2025 collection, the brand's Made in England collection will launch an NB 991v2 "Essentially Offbeat" duo.

The sequel to the beloved New Balance 991, the silhouette manufactured in the UK is a masterclass in refining heritage for a modern era. Visually, the follow-up sneaker doesn't deviate much from its decades-old predecessor, but FuelCell cushioning firmly places it amongst New Balance's current roster of high-performing footwear. As with other products previewed earlier in the year, Made in England's NB 991v2 offerings are unapologetically British, speaking to color palettes and sensibilities familiar to those across the pond.

The impending duo abandons the tonal makeovers seen on the earliest styles of the sequel in favor of understated hues accompanied by spring-friendly colors. Muted browns come together with pastel pinks and rich greens to create playful takes for the lifestyle market. The aforementioned FuelCell midsole ensures all-day comfort in an off-white package that allows for the top-halves to revel in the spotlight.

Pairs are expected to hit NewBalance.com overseas on Thursday, April 17, for $250. A stateside launch could follow shortly after. Enjoy detailed shots of the "Essentially Offbeat" capsule below while you wait.
