The Next New Balance 991v2 "Winter Flare" Releases December 12

New Balance is ready to render the Fall 2024 season with a seasonal upgrade of its 991v2 silhouette with an upcoming release that nods to a fan-favorite collaboration from the past.

If you missed out on the highly coveted WTAPS x New Balance 992 in 2020, the forthcoming New Balance 991v2 will be strikingly familiar and just as appealing.

This new iteration of the 991v2 showcases a dual-tone suede upper, featuring a similar tonal aesthetic to the revered WTAPS collaboration. The sneaker's design is further accentuated by vibrant orange accents that pop against the subdued base—these are thoughtfully placed on the midsole and tongue, injecting a dynamic burst of color into the overall muted palette.

The reflective New Balance logo on the quarter panel opts for a matte black finish, deviating from the traditional silver and adding a subtle but impactful twist to the design. The ensemble is rounded with grey leather forefoot underlays and a matching mesh base, ensuring style and comfort.

As we look ahead, the 991v2 is set to be at the forefront of New Balance's premium offerings, with a flurry of top-tier releases on the horizon. This includes a trio of collaborative efforts from Stone Island and an anticipated design from Salehe Bembury.
