The New Balance 991v2 'Wind Chime' Kicks Off Spring 2025

The New Balance 991v2 is revving up to have a fruitful year. After appearing in Kith's Spring 2025 lookbook, the Made in U.K. silhouette has emerged as part of the Boston-based brand's own efforts for the warmer, wetter months of the year.

Unveiled alongside the 'Grounded Pastels Pack' also slated for a launch throughout spring, the latest iteration of the NB 991v2 takes on a much tamer (and curiously-named) 'Windchime/Frozen Dew/Vanilla Ice' color combination. Premium, running-informed uppers feature some greyscale hits across N branding and other details, while the FuelCell-assisted tooling underfoot opts for a faux-aged aesthetic that's appeared on handfuls of collaborations between New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore.

Together, each aforementioned component helps the sequel to the beloved New Balance 991 from 2001 become palatable for all style preferences.
