Long-time New Balance collaborators BEAMS are back with a classic take on the mythical 992 silhouette.

The New Balance 992 was released back in 2006 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Boston-based brand and only served us for a short period of time. But now, 14 years later, NB has brought back the phantom model to widely-received acclaim. Just last weekwe saw the silhouette hit shelves in some colorful and OG-inspired takes, along with another classic grey hitting KITH earlier this year. Now it’s time for BEAMS to tweak, with this exclusive pair putting a light-bright spin on the OG.

2006’s OG New Balance 992

Here, BEAMS keep the OG dark grey mesh uppers true-to-OG, whilst swapping out pigskin overlays for an un-dyed neutral and underlays in a warming cream. Sole units too swap out its darker grey shades on the midfoot and outsole for creams and whites, while embroidered hits, profile “N” motifs, and flat white laces remain true to the original 2006 make.
