PaperBoy x New Balance 992 “Fried Egg” Releases June 19th

After launching surprising collaborations with BEAMS, NEEDLES, and Clarks, Parisian café PaperBoy Paris has now rekindled its connection with Boston’s New Balance for an eggcellent edition of the 992. Revealed earlier this year, the PaperBoy x New Balance 992 “Fried Egg” has finally been confirmed for release, with retailers listing a June 19th drop.

The sneaker is the second collaboration between the two brands — following last year’s trio of 801 designs — and features a range of premium touches. With breakfast being one of PaperBoy Paris’ favorite meals, it makes sense to celebrate it. The references are clear, too, with more obvious callouts at the tongue and insoles, to pigskin suede uppers designed to mimic a fried egg. Starting with yellow at the eyestays to gradient hues of white underneath, the sunny-side up sneakers are an exaggeration on the egg theme. The model’s tech underpinnings are untouched, though, with ENCAP® and ABZORB® in the sole for unrivaled comfort and support.
