London-based social group The Basement joins the likes of BAPE and Salehe Bembruy, in delivering their own variation on the New Balance 2002R with this all-new two-piece collaboration from across the Atlantic.
Coming in two colorways, The Basement x New Balance 2002R keeps things simple with options in tonal green and bone suede and pigskin — both of which sit atop sole units, toe caps, and rear overlays of black. The colors peer out from above these, one in mossy green hues, the other in bone and grey, both sporting fly-off midfoot N motifs in white, and co-branded tongue badges and insoles, too. There’s also The Basement logos hitting the heels, as well as modified logos at the vamp completing the design.
Update 04.21.22 A third, Facebook Group-exclusive colorway of The Basement x New Balance 2002R has been revealed in “Earth Brown”. The page has already unleashed a small 10-pair giveaway but will offer up a wider drop on their platform on April 24th.Update 12.01.22 The Basement x New Balance 2002R “For Locals” will release for the UK only on December 4 at 4 PM GMT via bsmntstore.com. A release date for their third olive green scheme is yet to be confirmed.Update 12.01.22 Contrary to its nickname, The Basement x New Balance 2002R “For Locals” will see a global release via UK retailers ENDon December 23.
