Air Max 97 options are appearing thick and fast of late, all of which are adding to an epic portfolio for the sneaker’s 25th Anniversary in 2022. Though we’ve seen plenty of pairs previewed, only one original scheme has been uncovered. But now we can confirm that another OG will return in 2022, and it’s arguably the silhouette’s most famous: the Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet”

Last seen in 2017 for its 20th anniversary, the Silver Bullet has been confirmed by our sources to return in 2022 for its 25th birthday. The Christian Tresser-designed silhouette is expected to have a huge year planned, with this news the icing on the cake. Though we don’t yet have visuals on the pair, you can expect it to arrive in much the same form as it did five years prior, with silver mesh uppers, tonal 3M overlays and mudguards, streaking pops of white and striking hits of Varsity Red throughout.

After House of Heat first revealed its return last October, both official images and in-hand product shots of the 2022 Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” have landed.
