The Frankenstein Monster Could've Inspired This Patent Nike Air Force 1
Given its timeless design and popular status, the Nike Air Force 1 has been a go-to canvas for some of the brand's conceptual and thematic releases. Ahead of Halloween 2026, the decades-old silhouette has emerged with a patent leather upper that's covered in an electric green, rich purple, and spooky black color scheme.
As of writing, the brand hasn't disclosed any information about the sneaker, giving way to speculation and educated guesses. Upon quick glance at the pair, you might conjure up images of the Frankenstein Monster, a misunderstood creature that inspired another glossy AF-1 in 2006. In comparison to the newly-surfaced pair, however, the 20-year-old release included unmissable red stitching throughout the upper as a nod to the common visual interpretation of Mary Shelley's character.
The green, purple, and black colorway could also evoke images of witches—another Halloween-appropriate muse. Whatever the inspiration behind the Air Force 1 Low is, it can't be argued that the shiny shoe makes most sense with a fall wardrobe.
