Air Jordan 1 Mid “UNC to Chicago” Celebrates Mike’s College and NBA Championships

UNC to Chicago themes seems to be the flavor of 2023 for Jordan Brand, with a brand new Air Jordan 1 Low OG and Air Jordan 2 Low sharing the college-to-pro journey of the game’s greatest player. Now, a new Air Jordan 1 Mid “UNC to Chicago” has appeared, this one honoring the GOAT’s championship success at both levels.

Delivered with a metallic twist, the striking white release hits all of the theme’s typical toolings; UNC blues up front graduate to Bulls reds in the rear, both of which meet in the middle on a shared white midsection. The semi-translucent outsoles follow suit in gradient finishes. Here, though, Mike and co. have stacked the collar, Swooshes, and tongue tags with Championship gold that recall Mike’s 1982 college win, and his six NBA titles, too; the year 1988 rides the inner tongues, denoting a midpoint where Mike would win a bag of silverware, including the NBA Points title, the league leader in steals, an All-Star MVP, All-NBA First Team selection, and his very first regular season NBA MVP.
